Kulula comes from the Kamba word meaning 'to draw' and is a creative art brand showcasing hand drawn items that are then digitally filled in with vibrant colors, coming through as quirky artworks with a soul.

The founder Nzilani Simu is a visual artist born, raised & based in Nairobi. Her art sources textures, characters and colors from the world around her and the array of inspiration that is ever abundant on the African continent. Kulula is an outlet for creative expression and curiosity.
